Spring has sprung

Despite the strange British weather, spring appears to have sprung this week – as far as the local wildlife is concerned anyway!

This week we have seen baby calves, goats and lambs, and we have a young pair of blackbirds attempting to nest in our back garden. The female we think is building her first nest because so far she hasn’t done very well in her attempts, in fact she is trying to build two nests in different parts of our garden.

We all have to do something for the first time,  and learn by our mistakes. Time will tell if she is successful – I will keep you posted!
