A Christmas Carol

So the nights are drawing in, the clocks go back at the weekend, there is a smell of woodsmoke in the air and there are fireworks on sale in the local supermarket. That can only mean one thing, Christmas.  Yes, this week we start practicing christmas music again at choir. I know lots of people complain that Christmas seems to be in our shops earlier every year, and there are already Christmas cards amongst the trick or treat sweeties and fireworks in our local store, but I love Christmas! I love singing the mixture of Christmas songs and carols we have in our choir repertoire, from the modern Mistletoe and Wine and Silver Bells to my personal favourite the classic O Holy Night. There is something very special about singing these Christmas tunes, especially if the concert is in a church, and then all too soon, the concerts are done and dusted and its all over for another year.

What is your favourite Christmas tune?
