Once a librarian…. Always a librarian?

A Postcard from Kidderminster

Welcome to my blog,  I hope you will find it interesting or thought provoking or even both! There is no single theme, just the ramblings of a 40 something mum with the urge to put finger to keyboard!! They are however divided into two sections, those with a musical theme (With a Voice of Singing) and those without (A Postcard from Kidderminster) Enjoy!

So, once a librarian…. Always a librarian-
Is that why I notice things? The guy on the train turning the corner of the page over rather than using a bookmark in his copy of Harry Potter? Two Kindle users – do people really prefer them? – that’s a topic for another blog!
I’m always interested in what people are reading, but I’ve never had the courage to talk to a complete stranger on the bus/train/tube, although I would always have a chat with the customers in the library over the issue/returns desk about their choices.
I also notice whether it’s a library book or a shop bought one, are they different types of reader? Why do some people buy – others borrow? Another blog topic I think!

….. And yes my CD collection is in alphabetical order by artist, but none of my books are!!!
