Recording session no2

Tonight we had our second recording session, thankfully the room was not as hot and we managed to get 6 more tracks down in the two hours available to us. Tonight’s tracks included two of my personal favourites, Anthem from the musical Chess and I don’t know how to love him from Jesus Christ Superstar. We also recorded our unique version of The Rose, arranged especially for our choir by our talented accompanist, which starts with a small group singing the first verse, two from each voice part, which I was lucky enough to be asked to be a part of.
We now have a recording free week whilst our Musical Director listens back to the recordings before our final session in two weeks time, to see if we need to re-record anything.

There was a great atmosphere in the hall this evening, and there is already talk of a Christmas CD in the near future, I am looking forward to hearing the final tracks, it may not reach the dizzy heights of the music charts, but our CD will mean a lot to our choir members, and we can’t wait to share it with our families and friends.
